The North West Dragons left everything on the field yesterday in a high-intensity clash at JB Marks Oval. While the final result didn't go their way, the Dragons proved why they are regarded as one of the most resilient teams in the league.

Du Preez Shines with the Bat
The highlight of the Dragons' innings was undoubtedly the performance of Meiriek du Preez. He anchored the innings with great responsibility, smashing a superb 58 off just 45 balls. His ability to find the boundaries and dictate the strike rotation kept the Dragons in the hunt throughout the chase.
The team ultimately finished their 20 overs on 128/5. Despite a courageous effort and plenty of "heart" shown in the closing overs, the target remained just out of reach, with the Dragons falling short by 35 runs.
"The Comeback is Loading"
Although the defeat is a setback, the message from the Dragons' camp remains defiant. The squad demonstrated the character and "fire" needed to compete at the highest level. Fans are encouraged to keep rallying behind the team as they regroup and prepare for the next challenge.
The JB Marks Oval will soon roar again with Dragons action, and with players like Du Preez in fine form, a victory is surely on the horizon.
