This week at Paws Haven has been filled with heartwarming moments and reminders of what community kindness can achieve. From playful pups and gentle giants still waiting for their forever homes, to joyful adoption successes and precious rescues finding safety, every story reflects compassion in action.
Gentle Hearts Waiting for Love 💕
Every animal that arrives at Paws Haven carries a unique story, some of resilience, others of hope. These furry friends are now ready for their next chapter: a loving forever home.
🐶 Dude – The Gentle Giant
At 27 months old, Dude is a big-hearted Rottweiler with an even bigger personality. Playful, loyal, and loving, this handsome boy enjoys swimming, hide-and-seek, and spending time with people. He knows all his basic commands, sit, stay, and paw, and loves being part of family fun.
While Dude adores children and adults alike, he’s best introduced slowly to other dogs and isn’t suited for homes with cats. For someone looking for a loyal friend and gentle protector, Dude is the perfect match. 🏡❤️
🐾 Buddy – Calm and Caring
Buddy, a mixed-breed male of about three years old, has soulful eyes that tell a story of loyalty and love. He’s calm, affectionate, and happiest when on quiet walks or curled up for head scratches on the couch. This gentle soul is ready to brighten every day with unconditional devotion.
🐾 Dash – A Burst of Joy
At just over a year old, Dash is full of life and enthusiasm. His playful personality and boundless energy make him the ultimate adventure partner. Dash is looking for an active family who loves walks, playtime, and plenty of cuddles.
🐾 Jack – The Eager Heart
Jack, a two-year-old Jack Russell Terrier mix, radiates positivity and love. Always ready for a new adventure, he’s cheerful, outgoing, and loyal to the core. Jack would thrive in a family that enjoys fun and activity, and he promises to be your most devoted companion.
🐾 Oliver – The Perfect Gentleman
This one-year-old mixed breed male is as gentle as he is charming. With his soft coloring and calm personality, Oliver is waiting patiently, paws crossed, for someone to notice his quiet, affectionate nature. He’ll bring warmth and peace to any loving home.
🐾 Pepper – Unique and Unforgettable
Two-year-old Pepper might look a little different, he was born without external ears, but his heart is full of love. His sweet eyes and gentle spirit make him a truly special boy who deserves a family that will cherish his uniqueness.
🐾 Roscoe – The Hugger
At around eight months old, Roscoe is the definition of love and energy. Playful and affectionate, he loves hugs, games, and outdoor fun. He’s ready to bring laughter and excitement into a new family’s life.
🐾 Winston – The Joy-Bringer
Winston, a three-year-old Wire Fox Terrier mix, can light up any room with his happy grin. He’s full of energy, fun, and affection - perfect for an active home where he can be part of the family’s daily adventures.
😺 Also available: A sweet 9-week-old kitten who’s affectionate, playful, and loves companionship with both humans and other cats.

❤️ Rescue Updates and Recent Success Stories
🐾 Lost and Found
Two lovely female cats were recently found in Paws Haven’s emergency kennels. Both are safe but unchipped. If you recognise these cats, please reach out to the team to help reunite them with their owners.
A previously stray pregnant mommy cat is also thriving in foster care. She’s given birth to six beautiful grey and grey-and-white kittens and is caring for them like a pro. Her story reminds us of the difference between stray (lost or abandoned) and feral (wild) cats, this mommy clearly belongs to the first category and will soon be ready for adoption with her babies.
🏡 Recently Adopted – Happy Tails and New Beginnings
Each successful adoption is a story of hope fulfilled and lives forever changed:
Charlie found his forever family after they traveled from afar to meet him, proof that love knows no distance.
Luna, Bella, and Ivy have each settled into loving homes, enjoying new adventures and family cuddles.
Two Siamese cats and two rescued mommy cats (adopted together by Melissa and Jaco) have started their new lives in warm, caring homes.
Two adorable pups left Paws Haven together for their shared forever home. double the joy, double the love.
A Swirly Grey tabby boy was adopted the same day he was brought in, a lucky match made in record time.
Each adoption means more space, more hope, and more lives saved. 🐾✨
