Goldfields West Private Golf Club has announced the return of its Annual Winter Golf Day, scheduled for Saturday, 4 July 2026. The event serves as a focal point for the local golfing community, offering a mix of competitive play and social networking on the fairways.
Event Format and Pricing
The day will follow a shotgun start at 10h00, ensuring all players begin and finish their rounds in a synchronized fashion. Entry fees for the day are set at R400 per person, which includes green fees, access to the halfway house, and platters during the post-game prize-giving ceremony.
For those looking to save their legs, golf carts are available for an additional R380. Local businesses also have the opportunity to participate through hole sponsorships, priced at R1,000 per hole.
More Than Just a Game
While the scoreboard remains a priority for some, the day is designed to be accessible to golfers of all skill levels. Beyond the sport, the club is well-known for its resident wildlife; it is common for players to share the course with springbuck, impala, and blesbuck grazing near the fairways.
