Hoërskool Wonderfontein has found a "cutting-edge" way to motivate their learners to go green. The school has officially launched its latest recycling project with a massive incentive: if the learners can turn enough trash into cash to reach a goal of R5,000, the Principal will shave his head!

Trash into Cash
The initiative aims to raise environmental awareness while generating funds for the school. To make the process as easy as possible, every classroom has been equipped with three dedicated bins. Learners are encouraged to not only recycle their school waste but also to bring items from home to help reach the target faster.
The "Big Three" Focus
The school is specifically looking for the following materials:
Paper: Old newspapers, magazines, and notebooks.
Plastic: Water bottles and recyclable containers.
Cans: Aluminum soda and food cans.

A Principal with a Purpose
While many recycling drives struggle to gain momentum, the prospect of seeing the Principal sporting a bald look has created a massive buzz among the "Wonnies" community. It’s a fun, light-hearted challenge that carries a serious message about sustainability and the impact of a collective effort.
The race is on to see how quickly the learners can fill those bins and "clip" their way to the R5,000 goal!
