Local Vibes and Live Tunes
The Hartelus Market will once again turn up the good vibes in Parys on Saturday, 1 November 2025, from 9am to 3pm, at Egweni River Lodge, No. 2 Van Coller Street. This time, visitors can look forward to a live performance by Alabama Dream, the acoustic duo known for their laid-back, foot-tapping tunes that pair perfectly with a market morning.
Organisers are particularly chuffed about this one, warning locals that this is not the day to hit snooze, “Come early to get the best spot,” they say.
Market Must-Haves
Of course, it’s not just about the music. As always, Hartelus Market promises a mix of local food, crafts and easy-going charm. Visitors can browse stalls packed with preserves, herbs, baked goods and snacks, all while taking in the sound of live music and the hum of a crowd doing its best to relax productively.
Entry and Essentials
Admission is R10 per person, with kids under 10 and visitors over 70 getting in free, a fair deal for a full day’s entertainment.
There’s no ticket site, so you’ll simply pay at the gate. If you’re the type who still likes to call ahead, reach the organisers on 082-375-8361
So if you’re around Parys on the 1st of November, grab a hat, bring a friend, and come see Alabama Dream live. Because really, what better way to spend a Saturday than with music, munchies, and maybe a bit of shopping you didn’t plan to do?
