The Leopards LSEN Rugby team has faced a tough setback, and now they need your help.
With the national Craven Week for Learners with Special Educational Needs (LSEN) set to take place in Bethal, Mpumalanga from 27 June to 2 July 2025, excitement was building… until news came that their main sponsor had pulled out.

R90,000 Shortfall – But a Priceless Opportunity
That sponsor’s withdrawal left a funding gap of R90,000, money urgently needed for travel, food, accommodation, kit, and basic necessities to get our team to the tournament.
These are not just any players. The team is made up of 23 boys from special needs schools across our province, 2 Schools being in Potchefstroom.
Die Wilge High School (Potchefstroom) – 6 player
E.S. le Grange School (Potchefstroom) – 2 players
Keurhof School (Klerksdorp) – 8 players
Oom Paul School (Rustenburg) – 7 players
They’ve trained hard and earned their place. Now they just need a little help to get on the bus.

Why This Matters 🚍✨
For these boys, rugby is about more than winning games. It gives them a sense of pride, builds discipline and confidence, and opens doors to new friendships and personal growth.
Craven Week isn’t just another tournament, it’s a once-in-a-lifetime chance to be seen and celebrated on a national stage. Most of the players come from families that can’t afford the costs involved. Without outside support, they may miss out on this unforgettable experience.
How You Can Make a Difference 💪
We’re calling on local businesses, individuals, and community supporters to come forward with either sponsorships or once-off donations. Every contribution, big or small, will help close the gap and give these learners the chance they deserve.

Let’s Show What Community Means 🌍
This is about rugby, yes, but also about inclusion, opportunity, and heart. The kind of heart our community has always shown when it matters most. Let’s back our boys. Let’s send them to Craven Week with the pride they’ve earned. 🖤💛
