The brass band at St George’s Park usually provides the rhythm, but yesterday, it was the Proteas Women’s bats that provided the music. In a display of pure dominance, South Africa didn't just win the match; they rewrote the history books.

In what will go down as one of the greatest batting displays in South African women's cricket history, the team posted their highest ever ODI score of 375/6, powering their way to a 74-run victory and an unassailable 2–0 series lead.
Smashing the Ceiling
The scorecard tells the story of a team in peak form. Surpassing their previous best of 337, the Proteas batters were relentless. At the 40-over mark, they were already sitting pretty on 256/3, but the final phase of the innings was nothing short of a fireworks display.
Cricket South Africa described the innings as a "brilliant display," with the batters showing no mercy to the opposition attack.
Captain Fantastic Leads the Way
While it was a team effort, Laura Wolvaardt once again proved why she is one of the world's best. The skipper’s outstanding season continued as she notched up yet another half-century. Her innings was defined by "class, execution, and pure skill," laying the platform for the explosive finish that followed.
Series Sealed with a Game to Spare
Chasing 376 was always going to be a mountain to climb for the opposition. Although the visitors put up a "hard-fought contest," the total was simply too big. The Proteas bowlers held their nerve to secure a 74-run victory.
This win means the Proteas have sealed the series 2–0 with one game still to play. The final match will now be a victory lap for a squad that has proven they are truly #Unbreakable.
Final Score Summary:
Proteas Women: 375/6 (50 overs) – New National Record
Result: Proteas won by 74 runs.
Series: SA leads 2-0.
