Residents in Ventersdorp town and Tshing township are advised to prepare for a temporary water supply interruption scheduled for Tuesday, 28 October 2025, from 09:00 to 17:00.This planned outage will enable the municipality to carry out critical maintenance and repair work at the Ventersdorp Water Pump Station, a key facility that supplies water to households and businesses across the area.
According to the municipality, this work forms part of its ongoing infrastructure improvement program designed to enhance the overall quality, pressure consistency, and reliability of the local water network.Residents are encouraged to store sufficient water in advance and to use water sparingly throughout the day to maintain pressure and prevent additional strain on the system.
Municipal officials have extended their apologies for the inconvenience, emphasizing that such temporary interruptions are vital to prevent larger, unplanned breakdowns in the future. The municipality also thanked residents for their patience and cooperation during the maintenance period.

⚙️ Mechanical Breakdown at Ikageng Water Pump Station 7

While repairs are underway, residents in the affected zones are urged to use water sparingly to help stabilize the limited supply still available within the network.
