JB Marks Community & Youth Engagement Update – 28 July 2025

In a recent wave of initiatives, JB Marks Local Municipality continues to focus on strengthening internal leadership, empowering the youth, and providing access to developmental resources. 👤 New Appointments in Municipal Leadership


The municipality has announced the appointment of the following individuals to key director positions:


  • Mr. Tebogo Nteo – Director: Corporate Services

  • Ms. Yvonne Malesa – Acting Director: Sport, Arts and Culture

  • Ms. Lerato April – Acting Assistant Director: Sport, Arts and Culture

  • Mr. Moshe Legoete – Acting Director: Housing Development & Planning


These leadership changes signal internal restructuring aimed at strengthening service delivery and community development.

🗣️ Ward 32: Youth Engagement Roadshow


Ward Councillor Tshepang Tsamai is hosting a youth-focused engagement campaign titled “Conversation with the Youth”, encouraging young people to “Come Share, Listen & Grow Together.”Key dates and venues:

  • 📍 AppelDraai (Plasing) – Tuesday, 29 July 2025 | 14:00

🚦 Ward 19: Learner’s License Program – Appointment Phase


Councillor Simon Molefi Moretsi has confirmed that Ward 19 residents aged 18–35 are invited to the Learners License Program at:


  • 🗓️ Friday, 01 August 2025

  • 🕓 16:00 PM

  • 📍 Lusaka Community Hall


Requirements:

  • ID document

  • 2 ID photos

  • Eye test results


This initiative is part of the municipality’s broader youth development drive under the hashtag #RaethomaRaetetsa.
