JB Marks Local Municipality Issues Draft Land Use Scheme for Public Inspection

The JB Marks Local Municipality has officially released a Draft Land Use Scheme (2025) for public inspection and comment. This initiative is in line with the Tlokwe City Council Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Municipal By-law of 2015, as well as the Ventersdorp Municipal By-law of 2016, and the Spatial Planning and Land Use Management Act, 2013 (Act 16 of 2013).

Residents and stakeholders are invited to review the draft scheme and submit any objections or representations within 60 days, starting 01 July 2025. The inspection can be done during normal office hours at the following locations:

• Department Technical Services: Civic Centre, 35 Wolmarans Street, Potchefstroom

• Ventersdorp Municipal Office: Van Tonder Crescent, Ventersdorp

• Municipal Library in Ventersdorp

• Municipal Library in Potchefstroom (Corner of Sol Plaatjie and Wolmarans Street)

• Ipelegeng Library in Ikageng (Sarafina Street)

The deadline for submitting objections or representations is 01 September 2025. Submissions can be made in writing, verbally (if unable to write), or through transcription assistance at the JB Marks Local Municipality offices.
