The JB Marks Local Municipality has announced a targeted initiative to support vulnerable residents within Ward 1. Led by Councillor Rabodiba Maloganye, the program focuses on providing direct assistance to indigent households, specifically helping them navigate the process of completing debt write-off forms.
This initiative is part of the municipality's ongoing commitment to social relief and financial recovery for residents who are struggling to meet their municipal obligations due to economic hardship.

Rollout Schedule and Locations
To ensure accessibility, the program will be conducted across two key areas within Ward 1 over the coming days:
1. Extension 3
Date: 20–21 April 2026
Venue: Extension 3 Church
2. Sarafina
Date: 22–23 April 2026
Venue: Mataereng Sarafina
Why This Matters
The indigent program is a vital lifeline designed to ensure that low-income households can maintain access to basic services. By assisting residents with the official "Write off" forms, the municipality aims to alleviate the burden of historical debt, allowing families a fresh start and ensuring the "Marks of Excellence" service standard is felt by all members of the community.
