JB Marks Municipality Confirms Correct Fittings Secured for Continued Louis le Grange Street Pipe Repairs

The JB Marks Local Municipality has issued a new update regarding ongoing repair work to the burst water pipe on Louis le Grange Street near the Waste Transfer Station. The latest notice, dated Thursday, 13 November 2025, confirms that the correct fittings required to complete the job have now been secured. Repair operations will resume today, Friday, 14 November 2025, starting at 08:00.

Significant Progress Achieved on Burst Pipe Repairs


Municipal technical teams have continued work following the initial emergency repair carried out on 12 November. According to the municipality, securing the correct fittings represents a key milestone in the restoration process and will allow work to move ahead toward final completion.


The municipality notes that teams have made steady progress stabilising the affected pipeline section while preparing for the next phase of repair operations.


Areas Expected to Remain Affected


While repairs continue, several areas are expected to experience intermittent water supply interruptions.


According to the latest update, affected zones include:

  • Industrial Area

  • Parts of Miederpark

  • Mooibank plots

  • Potchefstroom Hospital

  • Central Business District (CBD)


Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to store sufficient water in preparation for temporary disruptions during the scheduled repairs.
