The JB Marks Local Municipality has entered a period of heightened administrative and community activity this April 2026. While the Communication Unit has ensured that basic service delivery remains steady during the holiday season, the Executive Mayor has simultaneously called for residents to take an active role in shaping the long-term future of the region through the 5th Generation Integrated Development Plan (IDP) and 2026/2027 Budget process.

Holiday Refuse Removal to Proceed Without Interruption
In a public notice issued on Monday, 30 March 2026, the municipality confirmed that refuse removal services will continue in accordance with the normal schedule during the Good Friday and Easter Monday Public Holidays. All collections, including those scheduled for Mondays and Fridays, will proceed without interruption. Residents are requested to ensure that refuse is placed out for collection on their designated days to help maintain a clean and healthy environment during the festive break.
