The invitation, issued by MPAC Chairperson Councillor Rufane A. Makousa, calls on the Executive Mayor Cllr. Gaba Thithiba Ka-Qhele, the Council Speaker, MMCs, all Councillors, and the Chief Whip of Council to attend two important community sessions set to take place in mid-July.

The meetings will provide a platform for residents to interact directly with elected officials, review the municipality’s performance, and pose questions or provide input on the administration’s service delivery and governance during the 2023/2024 financial year.
Importance of the Sessions
Public participation is a cornerstone of democratic governance. By involving the public in reviewing the Annual Report, MPAC ensures that oversight is not solely a political function, but a community-driven process. These sessions are also crucial for identifying gaps in service delivery and ensuring corrective action where necessary.

Cllr. Makousa expressed the committee’s appreciation in advance for the attendance and input of all participants. "Your presence will be highly appreciated," she stated, reinforcing the municipality’s inclusive approach to governance.
