Jolache Couture Redefines Glamour with the Launch of 'Fierce'

On 10 January 2026, the who’s who of Potchefstroom (and beyond) gathered to celebrate a landmark moment for one of South Africa’s most esteemed fashion houses: the opening of Jolache Couture’s breathtaking new premises. Guests, elegantly dressed in shades of white, were welcomed into an evening that exuded sophistication, glamour, and refined celebration. The soirée marked not only the unveiling of the new space, but also the exclusive launch of Fierce, a striking new collection inspired by the designer’s daughter.
The face behind the dresses
Jolandie Fouche, a proud and deeply rooted member of the Potchefstroom community, has built a reputation for creating designs that are both distinctive and unforgettable. Since rebranding her business in 2017, she has continued to cement her position as a leading name in South African couture.
An evening like no other
Adding further prestige to the evening, former Miss South Africa, Natasha Vermaak (previously Joubert), served as Master of Ceremonies. Her long-standing relationship with Jolandie spans more than a decade, dating back to the early days of Natasha’s pageantry career when she designed gowns for her Miss Globe journey. Since then, Natasha has proudly remained a brand ambassador for Jolache Couture. During the evening, she shared heartfelt anecdotes; from her engagement and iconic wedding to her recent baby shower - each milestone beautifully marked by Jolandie’s designs.
Vendors galore
Guests arrived from 15h30 and enjoyed a leisurely stroll through the venue while future brides were networking and engaging with a curated selection of vendors. These included Soné’s Cake Creations, Flower Blessing, Motion Memory, Aesthetics Anonymous, and Theia Jewellery, among others. Catering was expertly handled by Die Pienk Huis, who served an array of delectable finger foods, while Toro’s pop-up coffee stand proved a popular favourite. The bar offerings were equally well received, with wines supplied by Doolhof Wine Estate standing out. Adding an extra touch of luxury, Eastvaal Toyota provided shuttle services for attendees, ensuring a truly VIP experience from start to finish.
She's beauty, she's grace
The highly anticipated fashion show commenced at 18h30, captivating the audience for 45 minutes with an exquisite showcase of couture craftsmanship. The Fierce Collection lived up to its name - bold, elegant, and unapologetically powerful. The models radiated confidence and grace, clearly enjoying every moment on the runway. Renowned personality Simoné Pretorius was also in attendance, donning a stunning Jolache Couture design, and delighted the audience by taking to the stage herself.
Local beauty
Potchefstroom’s own beauty, Onalenna Constantin, also graced the stage. In her Instagram post she said she felt “like a princess” wearing one of Jolandie’s stunning reception dresses. The evening was filled with moments of laughter, emotion, celebration, and resounding applause.
The event was, by all accounts, a resounding success, and we wish Jolache Couture continued growth and success as it embarks on this exciting new chapter.
