The grounds of Potchefstroom High School for Boys (PHSB) were transformed into a hub of social connection and fun as the school hosted the first-ever Inter-School Picnic with The High School for Girls Potchefstroom. This special fundraiser was designed to foster new friendships and strengthen the ties between these two neighboring institutions.

Building Connections through Play
The day was packed with high-energy activities designed to break the ice and encourage teamwork. Learners from both schools engaged in a variety of creative games, ranging from the social "Human Bingo" and "Speed Chatting" to more physical challenges like the "Water Relay" and the classic "Egg and Spoon Race." The atmosphere was one of camaraderie, as students stepped out of their usual social circles to enjoy the lighthearted competition of "Would You Rather" and various board games.
A Feast for the Senses
After the morning's activities, the learners were treated to a sophisticated culinary experience. The event featured:
A Grazing Table: A massive spread of delicious snacks and treats.
DIY Mocktail Station: Where students could get creative with flavors and garnishes.
The Perfect Ending: An ice cream treat for every attendee to cool down after a day in the sun.
A Resounding Success through Support
The success of the fundraiser was made possible through the generous sponsorship of Feedem, who provided several food items for the event. The management of PHSB also extended their gratitude to the staff members whose behind-the-scenes planning ensured the day ran smoothly.
A special thank you was also issued to Potch Girls High for their enthusiastic participation. This inaugural picnic serves as a successful blueprint for future collaborations between the schools, emphasizing community spirit and the importance of social development alongside academic life.
