At Ashton John’s Private School, we believe in nurturing not just minds, but imaginations. This week, we’re proud to spotlight one of the passionate educators who brings colour, creativity, and storytelling into our classrooms: Mr Zuko Daliburuma, our Visual Arts & Design Educator.

✨ A Journey Fueled by Purpose
Mr Daliburuma’s teaching journey began at Walter Sisulu University in Umtata, where his passion for the arts was matched by a desire to inspire transformation in young people. With five years of experience under his belt, he describes his career so far as “fulfilling, with its fair share of ups and downs, but always meaningful. ”His approach to art isn’t just about skill, it’s about storytelling, history, and identity.
✏️ Inside the Classroom: Expression with Structure
Mr Zuko’s classroom is a space where learners are encouraged to explore, experiment, and find their voice through visual expression. His teaching style? Calm, welcoming, and deeply rooted in the value of individuality.
He seamlessly balances freedom with structure, ensuring a positive and focused learning environment where creativity thrives without chaos.
💡 More Than an Art Teacher
Beyond the brushes and sketchpads, Mr Zuko serves as a mentor, role model, and motivator. His dedication to guiding each learner on their unique artistic path makes him an irreplaceable part of our team.
At Ashton John’s, we are incredibly proud to have such a visionary educator shaping the hearts and hands of our future creatives.
