The spotlight shines on four exceptional young athletes from Methodist Primary School-Klerksdorp as they prepare to take on the best in the region. This Saturday, 21 February 2026, the Kenneth McArthur Stadium in Potchefstroom will play host to the prestigious Kenneth Kaunda District Athletics meeting, and Methodist Primary will be represented by a powerhouse contingent of "star boys."

The Road to Potchefstroom
Earning a spot at the District level is a testament to months of hard work, discipline, and raw speed. These four athletes have navigated through fierce local competition to secure their places on the starting blocks and at the jump pits in Potchefstroom.
Meet the Contenders
We are incredibly proud to announce the representatives who will be carrying the school’s hopes:
Kadan Ramadhan (U/10): A versatile young talent who will be competing in both the 80m sprint and the Long Jump.
Amogelang Sebego (U/11): Our specialist jumper who will be aiming for new distances in the Long Jump.
Nathan Bradley (U/12): A speedster who will be tackling the 100m and the 150m sprints.
Ayanda Gasmeni (U/13): Our senior athlete who faces a busy day, competing in the 100m, 200m, and the Long Jump.
A Message of Support
The Methodist Primary school community is standing firmly behind these boys. "We wish our athletes the very best as they represent our school with pride," noted the school’s management. "To reach this stage is already a victory, and we are excited to see what they can achieve on the big stage."
Whether they are sprinting for the finish line or soaring through the air, these boys carry the spirit of Methodist Primary with them. Go out there, give it your all, and make Klerksdorp proud!
