A Workshop with a Twist (of Lipstick)
The 6th of September is set to be anything but ordinary in Klerksdorp, thanks to Melika Makeup’s upcoming Interactive Makeup Workshop. If you’ve ever wanted to perfect that winged eyeliner while sipping on something bubbly, this might be your moment.
Kicking off at 10am and running until 2pm at the Artist’s Residence, the workshop promises four hours of hands-on beauty tips, professional-grade MUD Makeup, and just enough mimosas to make even the shyest guest feel bold enough to try red lipstick.
What’s on the Table
Besides the actual table you’ll need to bring for your mirror, here’s what attendees can expect:
A mimosa on arrival. Because hydration is key
Full use of MUD Makeup. No dodgy testers, just the good stuff
Coffee and snacks, because contouring on an empty stomach is never a good idea
A lucky draw worth R500. Let’s hope your blush isn’t the only thing that’s winning
For R650 per person, this is less of a hard sell and more of a let’s-just-do-it situation. But be warned, there are only 10 seats available. It’s exclusive like that.
What to Bring (Besides Your Bestie)
Now, don’t rock up empty-handed. This is not your average pamper party. To take full advantage of the experience, you’ll need:
A clean, washed and moisturised face
Your own mascara
Your own (clean) makeup brushes
A table mirror so you’re not guessing where your cheekbones are
Basically, Melika will give you the tools to learn, but you’ll need to pack the basics. Think of it like school, but with better lighting and bottomless charm.
No Refunds, No Exceptions
A quick glance at the terms and conditions tells us that once you’ve paid, that money’s committed. Full payment is due when you book and refunds are not a thing. So be sure you’re in before you hit send.
Where It’s All Happening
Set your GPS to 4 Charo Street, Flamwood and maybe warn your neighbours about all the laughter and sudden glamour they’re about to witness. The event is hosted by Melika Makeup, a name you’ve likely seen on Facebook if you’ve ever searched for a makeup artist in the area.
For bookings and questions (or to casually stalk their work), you can call or WhatsApp 082-886-5550.

In a world full of stress, grey roots and expired concealer, a morning of makeup and mimosas sounds like a decent way to reset. Bring your mate, bring your mirror, and brace yourself for a blend of beauty, banter and possibly too much bronzer.
Just don’t forget the clean brushes. Seriously.
