The North West DragonsĀ brought the fire to the DP World Wanderers StadiumĀ this week, putting on a determined performance against the Lions in their CSA 4-Day SeriesĀ clash.

š„ Dragons Dominate with the Ball
The Dragonsā bowling attack was in top form, wrapping up the Lionsā innings for 239 all out. It was a strong collective effort in the field, led by Ruan de Swardt, who impressed with a superb 3 wickets for just 18 runs in 16 overs. His control and consistency kept the pressure firmly on the opposition.
Backing him up was Omphemetse Nyaku, who also claimed 3 wickets for 36Ā in his 13-over spell, showing great rhythm and accuracy. Alfred MothoaĀ chipped in with a valuable 1/44 from 12 overs, maintaining the intensity as the Dragons refused to let the Lions settle.
It was a textbook display of persistence and teamwork, every player contributing to the relentless energy that defines the Dragonsā fighting spirit. ššŖ
š Stumps - Day 1
By the close of play, the Dragons found themselves 23/2 after 9 overs, still trailing by 216 runs. Mohau PrinceĀ held firm at 12 not out (24 balls), while Janneman MalanĀ added a quick 8 off 9 ballsĀ before falling late in the session.
Although the early wickets were a setback, the Dragonsā determination remains high. With plenty of overs left and a capable batting line-up still to come, the team will look to regroup and build a solid foundation on Day 2.
