Thursday evening, 14 August 2025, saw the NWU Eagles take to the field at the NWU Soccer Institute Stadium for a high-energy Varsity Football showdown against the Central University of Technology (CUT). Backed by a passionate home crowd, the Eagles produced a disciplined and determined performance, sealing a narrow but crucial 1–0 victory.
First Half: Balanced but Goalless ⚽
The opening half was tightly contested, with both teams creating opportunities but failing to find the net. The Eagles pressed high and looked to dominate possession, while CUT relied on quick counterattacks to test the NWU defense.
