The October Run at Pont de Val is back, and it’s shaping up to be more about good company than competition. Runners, walkers, and those just in it for the post-run coffee are invited to hit the trail on Saturday, 18 October 2025, at 8:00.
A Route Made for Everyone
Participants can expect a relaxed 5-kilometre run or walk along the scenic Pont de Val route. There’s no stopwatch or timing chip involved, so it’s less about breaking records and more about taking it easy. Whether it’s a sprint, shuffle, or something in between, everyone’s welcome.
Where It All Starts
The run begins at the START sign just to the right of Frédéric’s Table at Pont de Val, located at District, 212 Boundary Rd, Parys. The route winds through some beautiful surroundings, making it a pleasant outing for anyone keen on fresh air without the stress of a marathon.
After the Finish Line
Once you’ve crossed the finish line, or decided you’ve had enough, there’s no shortage of rewards. You can grab a coffee or smoothie from Depresso, or settle in for breakfast at Frédéric’s Table. No medals, but plenty of good food and conversation.
The Best Part
Entry is free, so there’s really no excuse. Just bring your running shoes and a sense of humour.
Whether you’re there to clock in a casual 5K or just to enjoy the coffee, the October Run is a good excuse to get out, get moving, and have a laugh while you’re at it.
