Petit Artiste is hosting a Paint and Sip Day on Saturday, 13 December 2025. The session runs from 10:00 to 13:00 at Dorps Padstal, 19 Water St, Parys.
The plan for the morning
It’s a three-hour, step-by-step painting session guided by a local artist. Everyone gets the full kit. All art supplies are included, so nobody has to arrive clutching a leaky paint box from 2009.
On arrival, guests are welcomed with complimentary coffee, tea or juice. While painting, there’s also a glass of wine on offer, with a non-alcoholic option available for anyone who wants the vibe without the vino. The morning wraps up with a light meal, because creativity is much easier when it’s not competing with hunger.
What you take home
Aside from a calmer brain and possibly a new respect for how hard clouds are to paint, attendees leave with their own finished artwork. No pressure to be the next Pierneef. The point is to enjoy the process and end up with something proudly yours.
Tickets and booking
Tickets cost R450.00 per person. Spaces are limited and bookings are encouraged early, mostly to avoid that awkward moment of finding out the last easel is already spoken for.
For details or bookings, contact Antoilene on 065-839-7787.
If nothing else, they’ll head home with a painting, a lighter mood, and the comforting knowledge that wine makes everyone’s trees look at least 20 percent better.
