A Day on the Greens for a Pawsome Cause
Animal lovers and golf enthusiasts alike can look forward to a fun-filled day on the greens this November, all in support of Paws Haven’s ongoing rescue and care efforts. The annual Paws Haven Charity Golf Day will take place at the Potchefstroom Country Club on 28 November 2025, promising a perfect blend of sport, community spirit, and compassion.
The event begins at 11:00 AM with a Shotgun Start, following the Better Ball Scramble Drive format. Teams of four can register for R2,000 per 4-ball, while businesses and individuals can sponsor holes for R500. Fantastic prizes are up for grabs, adding even more excitement to this heartwarming day on the course.
Funds raised during the event will go directly towards Paws Haven’s animal welfare initiatives, ensuring rescued cats and dogs receive the food, shelter, and medical care they need.

A Gentle Reminder from Paws Haven – Keeping Pets Safe 🐾
The Paws Haven team has issued a heartfelt plea to the community to help keep local pets safe and secure.
Recently, a rescue dog managed to slip out of a property in Mooirivier Rylaan during rush hour, sparking a tense rescue effort in heavy traffic. Thanks to the quick action of caring bystanders, including individuals in a red car and two team members from Waterboy, as well as the Paws Haven team, the frightened dog was safely recovered despite the rain and chaos.
This incident serves as a vital reminder for pet owners to always ensure gates are securely closed and dogs are safely inside the property before driving in or out. Small acts of vigilance can prevent dangerous situations and save lives.
Adoption Highlights – Happy Tails and New Beginnings
It has been another heartwarming week of successful adoptions and second chances at Paws Haven.
🐾 Max’s Happy Ending:
The lovable Max has officially found his forever home, joining his two sisters, Bella and Luna, who were adopted earlier this week. His new family has welcomed him with open arms, ensuring he’ll be showered with love and attention.
🐱 Kitten Joy:
Several adorable kittens have also been adopted, including a sweet tabby girl, a pair of bonded siblings, and a nine-week-old foster kitten known for his playful charm. Each now enjoys a safe, loving home and the promise of a bright future filled with cuddles and care.
