In addition to the scheduled maintenance, the City of Matlosana has confirmed the successful repair of a major water pipe burst affecting the primary supply line to Hartbeesfontein and Tigane. The burst caused a substantial interruption, impacting nearly the entire line serving both communities.

Municipal water department teams worked tirelessly to locate and repair the leak, ensuring that the system could be restored safely and efficiently.

Restoration Progress

  • The municipal pumping facility is now operating at full capacity.

  • Water reservoirs supplying Hartbeesfontein and Tigane are steadily returning to optimal levels.

  • Residents can now expect consistent access to clean, drinkable water as normal supply resumes.

Municipal officials acknowledged the urgency of the repair and expressed appreciation for the patience shown by residents during the disruption.

Ongoing Commitment to Water Infrastructure Stability

Both the planned maintenance in Orkney and the emergency repair in Hartbeesfontein demonstrate the City of Matlosana’s continued commitment to strengthening local water infrastructure. By addressing faults, preventing future breakdowns, and responding promptly to emergencies, the municipality aims to ensure dependable water delivery across all affected areas.

Residents are encouraged to monitor official channels for further updates and to report any new leaks, pressure drops, or service interruptions.
