Two talented young soccer players from Potchefstroom High School for Boys are reaching out to the community for support as they prepare to represent their school at an international tournament in Barcelona, Spain, this October.

Melo’s Journey to Barcelona
Melo, a dedicated learner and player, has been selected to join the school’s team for this prestigious event. For him, the opportunity to compete internationally is both an honour and a dream come true. However, the cost of travel, particularly airfare, remains a significant challenge. He is appealing for donations of any size to help cover the total estimated cost of R34 700, which includes flights and accommodation.

Lethabo’s Road to the International Stage
Lethabo Sithole, another proud representative from the school, shares the same dream and determination. His school’s selection to represent South Africa is a milestone he is eager to be part of. Like Melo, he is seeking contributions to cover his travel and accommodation costs, which also amount to R34 700 in total.
How to Lend Your Support
Both learners are calling on community members, local businesses, and anyone who wishes to support youth sports to contribute towards making this trip possible. Donations can be made to the following account:
Bank: FNB (Boys High)
Account Type: Cheque Account
Account Number: 62115812655
Reference: Z008KHULU (for Melo) or Z088LETHABO SITHOLE (for Lethabo)
Every contribution will help these young athletes take one step closer to competing on the international stage and proudly representing their school and country.
