Potchefstroom Dorp Rugbyklub is celebrating an unforgettable weekend of rugby triumphs after their Women’s Team clinched the league title in a commanding final performance. The championship victory capped off a Saturday that saw all three senior teams walk away with wins, a clean sweep of results that signals serious momentum for the club’s 2025 campaign.
Women’s Team: Champions of 2025
In a historic moment for the club, the Potch Dorp Women’s Team, proudly sponsored by The Go-To Guy, secured their spot at the top of the log by defeating Welkom 21–10. From the first whistle, it was clear that this was a side playing with purpose, precision, and unity.
The team showed composure under pressure and proved why they were one of the most consistent performers throughout the competition.

Women 21 – 10 Welkom (Final – Champions)
2nd Team 27 – 7 Matlosana
1st Team 40 – 22 Matlosana
After narrow losses and wins the previous week, both the First and Second Teams bounced back with determined wins over Matlosana. The First Team in particular put on a statement performance, scoring 40 points and controlling the pace of the match from the outset.
