67 Minutes, Countless Smiles
Each year, Mandela Day reminds us of our shared responsibility to build a better, more compassionate society. In 2025, NG Welsyn Potchefstroom invites all residents to lend a helping hand by contributing essential items to their Mandela Day outreach. This initiative is more than just charity, it’s about dignity, community, and caring for those in need during the harsh winter months.
From the youngest children to the elderly, many members of our community go without the basic comforts we often take for granted. By participating in this campaign, you can help restore hope, hygiene, and humanity in the lives of others.
What’s Needed?
To make this Mandela Day meaningful, NG Welsyn is calling on Potchefstroomers to donate the following items:
2 x Urns
Non-perishable food items (tins, pasta, rice, cereals, etc.)
Blankets to beat the winter chill
Washcloths & soap for basic hygiene
Toothbrushes & toothpaste
Roll-on & deodorant to promote self-care and confidence
These items will be distributed to individuals and families in crisis situations through NG Welsyn’s welfare programs.
