Potchefstroom High School for Boys (PHSB) officially launched its 2026 Interact Club during a prestigious inauguration ceremony held on April 14, 2026. The event marked the beginning of a new chapter for a dedicated group of learners committed to the principles of "Service Above Self."

Distinguished Guest and Rotary Connection
The ceremony was highlighted by the presence of Mrs. Hilary de Villiers, an esteemed representative from the Potchefstroom Mooi Rotary Club. Her attendance underscored the strong bond between the school and the global Rotary network. As a branch of Rotary International, the Interact Club at PHSB provides learners with a direct link to a worldwide community of professionals and service leaders.
Building Leaders through Community Service
The PHSB Interact Club is not merely a volunteer group; it is a specialized platform for leadership development. By participating in the club, learners are tasked with:
Managing Projects: From conception to execution, students lead initiatives that address real-world social issues.
Societal Improvement: Engaging in activities specifically designed to uplift and enhance the local Potchefstroom community.
Global Citizenship: Developing an understanding of humanitarian issues and the importance of international cooperation.
The PHSB Cares Ethos
The school’s management expressed their pride in the newly inaugurated members, noting that the club plays a vital role in shaping the character of "College" boys. Under the banner of #PHSBCares, these young men are encouraged to look beyond the classroom and the sports field to see where they can make a tangible difference in society.
With the guidance of the Potchefstroom Mooi Rotary Club and the support of the school faculty, the 2026 Interact Club is set to embark on a series of projects that will continue the school’s long-standing tradition of service and excellence.
