Potchefstroom High School for Girls Learner Selected for Prestigious International Science Fair in Russia

The academic and science department of The High School for Girls Potchefstroom has officially celebrated a major international achievement following the selection of one of its learners, Lamees Rassulmia, to represent South Africa on the global stage.

Rassulmia has been chosen to showcase her scientific research virtually at the prestigious Yakutia International Science Fair (YISF) 2026.
Global Academic Representation
The Yakutia International Science Fair is a highly regarded global platform that brings together top junior scientific minds, innovators, and researchers from across the globe. This year's installment is scheduled to take place from 2 to 4 July 2026, hosted physically in Yakutsk, Russia.
Due to the structural nature of her selection, Rassulmia will participate in the evaluation panels and defense presentations via an official virtual delegation system. Her inclusion in the national squad highlights the high standard of scientific inquiry and STEM development within the school's academic curriculum.
