The administration of Potchefstroom Primary School has officially announced its upcoming Term 3 Book Drive for the 2026 academic year.

Operating under the school's foundational motto, "Excellence in Unity," the initiative aims to systematically stock and fill the school's library facilities to foster a sustainable love for reading among the new generation of learners. The community-wide collection campaign is scheduled to run from 21 July to 7 August 2026.
Material Requirements and Accepted Formats
The institutional library committee has specified that donated literature can be written in either English or Afrikaans. The project managers have outlined a clear breakdown of the exact reading materials required to optimize their current inventory:
Storybooks: Illustrated and narrative-driven reading books suitable for primary phase literacy development.
Novels: Extended fiction works to support advanced reading comprehension and vocabulary growth.
Dictionaries: Crucial reference materials to support daily language curriculum and academic research.
Magazines: Periodicals and age-appropriate educational magazines to encourage casual and diverse reading habits.
Drop-off and Contribution Logistics
Under the official campaign slogan, "You drop it we use it!", community members, parents, and local business stakeholders are encouraged to drop off their book donations directly at the school's premises.
The designated collection point is located at the school’s physical address: 306 Beyers Naude Avenue, Potchefstroom. All contributions will be processed, categorized, and integrated into the school's central reading systems immediately following the completion of the drive in August.
