As part of the changes, Mr. Obakeng Eden Mongale, who previously served as the Superintendent-General of the Department of Health, has been redeployed to the Office of the Premier. In his new role, Mr. Mongale will be responsible for coordinating the provincial segment of the National Dialogue, a strategic initiative designed to strengthen collaboration between government sectors and communities.

Taking over the leadership of the Department of Health is Mr. Mothupi Mokhatla, the former Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development. His appointment is seen as a move to bring renewed focus and stability to the provincial health sector, which continues to play a crucial role in the delivery of essential public health services.

Meanwhile, Ms. Kenalemang Bodigelo-Nyezi will serve in an acting capacity as the Head of the Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, ensuring continuity in the department’s programs and operations during the transition.
