The Promosa Community Youth Centre, in partnership with the Promosa Community Arts Centre and Athletes In Need, is launching a powerful awareness drive under the theme “Keep Pride, Keep Clean.” This campaign seeks to inspire community members, especially young people, to take pride in their environment and work together to keep their surroundings clean and green.

A Community United for Change
The “Keep Pride, Keep Clean” campaign is a two-part initiative that will be hosted at local schools to encourage environmental responsibility among learners and residents alike.
First Event:

🕒 Time: 07:45 – 08:45
📍 Venue: Promosa Secondary School
Second Event:
📅 Date: 20 October 2025
🕒 Time: 07:20 – 08:00
📍 Venue: Promosa Primary School
Both events are directed by Nthabiseng “Moxie” Mokgethi, a passionate community leader dedicated to youth empowerment and environmental education.

Building Pride Through Action
The campaign’s core message, “Keep Pride, Keep Clean,” emphasizes that maintaining a clean environment is not just about hygiene; it is about self-respect, dignity, and community pride. Through interactive sessions, school presentations, and symbolic clean-up actions, the initiative will teach young people the value of environmental stewardship and the importance of collective responsibility.
By targeting schools, the campaign aims to nurture a generation that values sustainability and understands the role of individuals in shaping a cleaner, healthier future. Participants will also learn about waste reduction, recycling, and the long-term benefits of preserving local ecosystems.
Community Partnerships and Impact
This campaign represents a collaborative effort between youth-driven and community-based organizations that share a commitment to positive change in Promosa. The Promosa Community Youth Centre continues to play a vital role in promoting civic responsibility and youth engagement through creative, educational, and impactful programs.
Looking Ahead
The “Keep Pride, Keep Clean” awareness campaign is more than just a local event. It is a call to action for everyone in the community to take ownership of their environment. By combining education, creativity, and civic duty, the project hopes to build momentum toward a cleaner and prouder Promosa.
Together, we can turn awareness into action, one clean street and one responsible citizen at a time.
