The Proteas Women continued their dream run at the ICC Women’s Cricket World Cup 2025, clinching a nail-biting three-wicket victory over Bangladesh in Visakhapatnam on Monday. With eight runs needed off the final over, de Klerk, dropped in the penultimate one, held her nerve and sealed victory in style with a towering six over long-on. South Africa reached 236/7 with three balls to spare, sparking celebrations in the Proteas dugout.

For her brilliant 62 off 66 balls and economical spell of 1/44, Chloe Tryon was named Player of the Match. Her leadership with both bat and ball once again proved crucial, ensuring the Proteas maintained control in tense phases of the game.
