It was set to be the perfect summer afternoon at Willowmoore Park. The Proteas Women were poised, the crowd was ready, and the broom was out for a potential 3-0 "clean sweep" against Ireland. However, on the Highveld, the weather often has the final say.

A sweeping storm brought an abrupt end to proceedings in Benoni yesterday, forcing the third and final T20 International (T20I) to be abandoned. While the anti-climactic finish denied the South Africans a whitewash, it could not dampen the spirits of a squad that has been nothing short of dominant.
Series Sealed: 2-0
Despite the rain-curtailed finale, the series goes down as a resounding success for the home side. The Proteas secured a comfortable 2–0 victory, proving that the gap between them and the touring Irish side remains significant.
The "Unbreakable" spirit of the team was evident throughout the week, with clinical performances in the first two matches laying the foundation for this series win.
The Shining Light: Suné Luus
While the clouds were grey over Benoni, one star shone brighter than the rest throughout the series. Suné Luus was rightfully named the Player of the Series.
Luus delivered a sublime all-round display that reminded fans and critics alike of her world-class caliber.
Whether with bat in hand or turning the ball, her consistency was the golden thread running through the South African campaign. She showed emphatic form from start to finish, making her the undeniable choice for the accolade.

A Job Well Done
Coach and captain will likely be frustrated not to have had the chance to test their depth one last time in the third match, but a series trophy is a series trophy.
The Proteas Women have once again defended their home turf with pride. As the covers come off and the squad looks ahead, they do so as victors, champions who remain, quite simply, unbreakable.
Final Series Result: South Africa wins 2–0.
