Quest Triumphs in a Sea of Colour: Potch Girls High Hosts Inter-House Gala

The swimming pool at The High School for Girls Potchefstroom was transformed into a kaleidoscope of green, yellow, and red yesterday as the school hosted its annual Inter-House Gala. The event was a high-energy display of "House Spirit" and athletic determination, with Quest eventually emerging as the 2026 champions.
The Battle of the Houses
The competition was fierce across all categories, with each house carving out its own moment of glory:
House Spirit: Discovery took home the trophy for the most enthusiastic and loudest support from the stands.
Senior House: Adventure proved their dominance in the senior age groups with powerful individual performances.
Junior House & Relays: Quest swept the junior divisions and showed incredible teamwork to win the relay events.
Overall Victory for Quest
After a day of splashing and cheering, the points were tallied, and Quest was crowned the Overall Winner for 2026. The gala highlighted the school’s motto of "Grow to Greatness," as swimmers of all levels pushed themselves to achieve new personal bests.
Building School Unity
While the competition was competitive, the day focused heavily on school unity and the unique sisterhood of an all-girls environment. The school congratulated every swimmer who participated, noting that the energy and spirit displayed by the learners made the event a massive success.
