Regional Choir Competition Showcases Talent and Celebrates Heritage in Matlosana

The winners of the North West Regional Choir Elimination Competition were announced on Saturday, 9 August 2025, following a day of captivating performances in Matlosana. The event, held in collaboration between the Tiro Mpane Foundation, the Department of Sports, Arts and Culture, and the Mercy Phetla Foundation, formed part of the region’s Women’s Day celebrations.

Winners Announced
Two choirs emerged as category winners:
Standard Category: Matlosana Melodies
Large Category: NWU Serenaders
Both groups were recognised for their exceptional harmony, stage presence, and interpretation of musical heritage.
