The festive season is set to begin early in Carletonville as Rotara Special School prepares to host its much-loved Christmas Market from 5 to 7 November. The event promises a warm and welcoming atmosphere where visitors can enjoy shopping, live music, and delicious homemade treats, all in support of a local cause.
Handmade Gifts and Festive Cheer
The market will feature a variety of handcrafted gifts made by local artisans and community members, perfect for early Christmas shopping. Visitors can expect to find unique items that celebrate creativity and craftsmanship, all available at the school’s Gift Shop.
Alongside the gift stalls, guests can indulge in freshly made treats and eats, available for takeaway, and enjoy refreshing beverages under the tranquil trees on the school grounds. The event aims to combine community spirit with festive fun in a peaceful, family-friendly environment.
Entertainment and Special Activities
On Friday, 7 November, the market will offer a few extra highlights, including cheese griller rolls and live music starting at 3:30 PM. A special White Elephant Table will also be available, where visitors can browse through an eclectic collection of secondhand treasures.
The combination of local food, festive shopping, and live entertainment is expected to make the Christmas Market one of the season’s most enjoyable community gatherings.
