In many communities, a lack of access to basic sanitary products isn't just a health issue—it’s a barrier to education, confidence, and basic human dignity. On May 9th, 2026, the ThriveFem Foundation is inviting the community to lace up their running shoes and turn their morning miles into a movement for change.
The Run For Dignity is more than just a race; it is a targeted effort to ensure that no student at Promosa High School has to miss class or compromise their health due to a period.

Event Details at a Glance
If you’re ready to run with purpose, here is everything you need to know to get involved:
Date: May 9th, 2026
Time: 8:00 AM sharp
Entry Fee: R30
The Dress Code: Wear your best green gear to show solidarity!
The Impact: 100% of the proceeds will go directly toward purchasing sanitary products for the girls of Promosa High School.
Beyond the Finish Line: The Strava Community
ThriveFem knows that the need for menstrual health support doesn't end when the race clock stops. To keep the momentum going, they are launching a dedicated Strava running club. This digital community allows supporters to log their miles, stay connected, and keep the conversation around menstrual health alive year-round.
By joining the club, your daily workouts become a continuous statement that dignity is a right, not a privilege.
"This is what running with purpose looks like. Every step taken and every Rand raised brings us closer to a future where menstrual health is never a barrier to a girl's success."
