On Saturday, 17 May, history was made as the Saints Christian School’s u/17 netball team clinched their first-ever gold at the SACSSA Senior Netball Tournament. The final whistle brought not just the end of a tough game, but also tears of joy, loud cheers, and proud celebrations. 🎉👏

A Nail-Biting Final
The final match was nothing short of intense. Saints took on Rabboni in a thrilling encounter and walked away with a tight 8-7 win. It came down to the wire, with goalkeeper Gigi Padi making a crucial block in the dying seconds to seal the victory and secure gold for the team.

Building Success Through Discipline
According to Saints sports coordinator Claudio Lucas, this win didn’t just happen overnight. “It was a special victory because of the preparation that was put in beforehand. It was very special, not only for the girls, but also for the coaches who have put in a lot of hard work behind the scenes,” he said.
Lucas also praised the team’s disciplined attitude, saying it reflected their growth, both individually and as a group.
