Community Comes Together for a Good Cause

On Wednesday, 15 October 2025, Klerksdorp will see sneakers, takkies and running shoes of all shapes and sizes hitting the tar at the SAVF Rethabile Klerksdorp CYCC Fun Run. Hosted at Fitness Zone in Wilkoppies, the event promises something for everyone, whether you’re an avid runner or someone who just enjoys a brisk walk before supper.

The Klerksdorp Marathon Club is lending its experience to the occasion, ensuring a well-run (pun intended) event that caters for both casual participants and serious competitors.

Distances and Entry Fees

Participants have three options:

• 2.5 km Run/Walk – R40 pre-entry, R60 on the day

• 4.9 km Run/Walk – R60 pre-entry, R80 on the day

• 10 km Run – R80 pre-entry, R100 on the day

Entries will be taken at Fitness Zone from 16:00 to 17:45, with the race officially starting at 18:00.

Why It Matters

The event is organised in support of SAVF Rethabile Klerksdorp Children’s Home. Their message is clear: every step is for a child. The run is not about personal best times or finish-line sprints alone, but about walking and running to make a difference. Every participant will receive a medal, a small reminder of their role in contributing to the cause.
