Goudwes School is celebrating a massive sporting milestone as two of its star athletes, Joseph Chitsotso and Phoebe George, have officially punched their tickets to the SA Championships. The pair delivered "silver-standard" performances at the Gauteng MID Championships, proving they are among the elite competitors in the province.

Double Silver at Gauteng MID
Both athletes showed incredible discipline and talent in their respective disciplines to secure their spots on the podium:
Joseph Chitsotso: Earned a 2nd place silver medal in Javelin, showcasing his power and precision in the field.
Phoebe George: Sprinted her way to a 2nd place silver medal in the 200m, demonstrating exceptional speed and endurance on the track.
The Road to Rustenburg
Following their success, both Joseph and Phoebe have been selected to represent Team Gauteng at the national level. The upcoming SA Championships will be held at the prestigious Royal Bafokeng Stadium in Rustenburg from 9 to 11 April 2026.
