Assembly Time: 13:30
March Duration: 13:45 – 16:00

The march invites community members, local partners, and a range of stakeholders, including the Department of Social Development, SANParks, Correctional Services, as well as Harmony employees, social workers, and affiliated organisations.
Purpose of the March
The initiative aims to strengthen community awareness around Gender-Based Violence and reinforce the collective message: Stilfontein stands firmly against GBV.
Participants will begin with a candlelight moment to honour and pray for victims of GBV, symbolising unity and support. Throughout the march, volunteers will share information, distribute pamphlets, and engage the public on where victims can seek help and support. Motivational segments and words of encouragement will also form part of the programme.
Stakeholder Coordination and Safety Planning
A formal presentation meeting is scheduled at Matlosana Public Safety on 25 November 2025 at 11:00, where route details, safety plans, and march preparedness will be finalised. This step ensures that all procedures comply with safety guidelines and that the event runs smoothly.
A United Stand Against GBV
The organisers emphasise that the march is a peaceful demonstration of solidarity, awareness, and community strength. By joining the walk or engaging with information shared on the day, residents of Stilfontein can contribute to a safer, more informed, and more supportive environment for those affected by violence.
The message remains clear and unwavering: Stilfontein says NO to GBV.
