A heartwarming community initiative is set to take place on 30 November 2025 as the Thabang Charity Cook partners with the Sebakeng Arts Centre to support individuals facing some of the most pressing social challenges. The event aims to bring relief and encouragement to community members affected by gender based violence, depression and substance abuse.

Hosted at the Sebakeng Arts Centre (Banna Ba Kae Offices), the charity cook invites the public to contribute through donations of food, clothing and essential items. These contributions will offer comfort and hope to people in need while fostering a spirit of unity and compassion within the community.
A Day of Empowerment and Reflection
The event will run from 2 PM to 5 PM, featuring a variety of empowering and uplifting activities designed to promote emotional wellbeing and social connectedness. Attendees can look forward to sessions of motivational speaking, meditation and live performances that aim to uplift and inspire.
Adding to the significance of the day, the program will include a special exhibition by Khaulhelo Sefali from the My Life, Our Life Foundation, an organization dedicated to healing and personal transformation. The exhibition is expected to provoke reflection and expand awareness on issues affecting vulnerable community members.
Community Support at the Centre
The Thabang Charity Cook emphasizes the importance of collective responsibility in addressing social issues. By bringing people together to share meals, stories and support, the event strives to strengthen the bond within the community and encourage individuals to stand with those facing hardship.
As the date approaches, the organizers are calling on community members to participate, donate and help create an environment where healing and support can flourish.
