The annual Potchefstroom Motorcycle Expo returns this year, marking its third iteration as a hub for local biking enthusiasts. Scheduled for 16 June 2026, the event brings together a diverse display of two-wheeled history and modern engineering, offering a look at how motorcycle design has shifted over the decades.
The expo features a mix of vintage, veteran, and classic motorcycles, alongside contemporary models straight from dealerships.
What to Expect on the Day
The gates at 86 Chris Hani Street open at 08:00 and the event runs until 16:00. Attendees can view a broad lineup of machinery, with past events hosting over 100 motorcycles ranging from brand-new releases to models dating back 90 years.
Event Highlights
Exhibits: A wide range of makes and models on display, showcasing the evolution of motorcycles.
Bikes for Sale: Private owners can put their motorcycles up for sale during the event, with voluntary donations from successful sales going toward the local church.
Food and Drinks: A variety of food stalls and a cash bar will operate throughout the day, accompanied by music.
Parking: Secure on-site parking is available. Motorcyclists who ride to the venue receive free entry and can park inside the exhibition area.
Market Stalls and Registration
The expo is also hosting a market section with 3x3m stalls available for R300. Organisers are prioritizing motorcycle-related vendors for these spots, though other types of market stalls may be approved closer to the event date depending on availability. Stallholders are required to bring their own gazebos.
For those wanting to display a motorcycle or book a trading space, entry forms and online registration can be completed via the official event website.
