In a heartfelt initiative to support community members during the cold winter months, Councillor Mafinki Stephen Tloome has announced the “Operation True Promise” distribution event. Set to take place on Saturday, 12 July 2025, this campaign will deliver 200 duvet sets, hot soup, fruits, and vegetables to residents in need.
The event will be hosted at the Ladies Hostel from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with a warm and welcoming atmosphere anticipated as locals come together for this act of compassion and care.

A Community Upliftment Effort
The campaign is a reflection of Ward 06’s commitment to practical service delivery and community upliftment. With winter conditions often hitting the most vulnerable the hardest, the distribution of bedding and nutritious food aims to bring immediate relief and comfort to struggling households.
Councillor Tloome, a visible and active figure in the community, emphasized that this effort is part of the ward’s continuous mission to “put promises into action” by directly meeting the basic needs of the people.
