    Aspiring athletes in the North West province have a golden opportunity to showcase their skills next month. Tiki Taka Sports Academy (TTSA) has officially announced its sports trials for the 2026 season, inviting talented players to compete for a spot in their soccer and netball programs. The trials are scheduled to take place on Sunday, 01 February 2026, at the Ikageng Stadium in Potchefstroom. Trial Details & Schedules The academy is looking for talent across various age groups. To ensure a smooth process, registration for all participants begins early at 07h00. ⚽ Soccer Trials The soccer trials are open to male players ranging from Under 11 to Under 19. Please note there is a R50 trial fee (cash only) for soccer participants. Age Group Time Slot Under 11 – Under 15 08h00 – 11h00 Under 17 – Under 19 13h30 – 16h00 🏐 Netball Trials In an inclusive move, the netball trials are open to both males and females. Unlike the soccer trials, the netball sessions are free of charge. Age Group Time Slot Under 14 – Under 15 08h00 – 09h30 Under 16 – Under 17 09h00 – 11h00 Senior Team 11h00 – 12h30 Essential Requirements for Participants If you are planning to attend, the academy has outlined several mandatory requirements to ensure eligibility: Documentation: You must bring a copy of your Identity Document (ID) or Birth Certificate.     Die Landbou Gholfklub het ’n amptelike gholfkompetisie vir Saterdag, 17 Januarie 2026, op die klubkalender bevestig. Die byeenkoms word aangebied volgens die Indiwiduele Point Stableford-stelsel (IPS). Image:  Landbou Gholfklub Beskrywing van die sport en formaat Gholf is ’n presisiesport waar deelnemers met verskeie stokke ’n bal oor ’n vasgestelde afstand in ’n reeks putjies probeer slaan. Die doel is om die baan met die minste aantal houe moontlik te voltooi. Die sport word op ’n groot buitelugbaan gespeel wat gekenmerk word deur verskillende terreine, insluitend die bof (afstappunt), die grasbaan (fairway), die kortgesnyde putjiegras (green) en verskeie hindernisse soos sandbunkers of waterstelsels. Die kompetisieformaat vir die dag, die Indiwiduele Point Stableford-stelsel, verskil van tradisionele houespel. In hierdie formaat verdien spelers punte op elke putjie relatief tot die baansyfer (par). Die puntestelsel word aangepas volgens die speler se amptelike voorgee (handicap), wat verseker dat spelers van verskillende vaardigheidsvlakke op ’n gelyke grondslag teen mekaar kan meeding. Die individu met die hoogste punte-totaal aan die einde van die rondte word as wenner aangewys.
