Loadshedding Complication Compounding the issue, scheduled load shedding on 29 November further disrupted any hope of immediate restoration of normal water supply, leaving residents dependent on water tankers for their basic needs. The council, in its media release, assured residents that maintenance work would commence on 30 November at 07h00, and apologized for the inconvenience, particularly to the residents of Old Ikageng. They also provided a contact number for the JB Marks Local Municipality Disaster Management Center to request water tanker services. Questioning Council Transparency However, the community's patience is wearing thin. Residents are not only exasperated by the current water supply disruption but are also questioning the municipality's overall efficiency and transparency. One resident criticized the council's statement for lacking a clear timeline for the restoration of regular water supply, expressing skepticism about the prolonged reliance on water tankers.
