In 2002 het die kusdorpie, Jeffreysbaai, 'n nuwe musiekgroep aan Suid-Afrika bekendgestel: Die Melktert Kommissie. Hierdie vier-lid groep het hul oorsprong gehad toe hulle aan die Jip Rockspaaider-kompetisie deelgeneem het en daardie jaar die titel ingepalm het. Hierdie momentum het voortgeduur met die vrystelling van hul tweede en derde albums, Wonderwoorde in 2006 en Vergewe en vergeet in 2007. Hul musikale reis het 'n Engelse draai geneem in 2009 toe hulle die enkelsnit, Karma, vrygestel het. 'n Pouse en 'n Herintrede Na 'n lang stilte en 'n onderbreking van bykans 'n dekade, het die groep in 2017 aangekondig dat hulle weer sou begin optree. Fans was oorstelp van blydskap toe die groep in 2019 op sosiale media aangedui het dat hulle weer in die ateljee is. Hierdie terugkeer het gelei tot die vrystelling van nuwe treffers soos Weier en Irrelevant.
