Die arena geleë in Potch, 10 Spruitstraat, bied spesifiek aksiekrieket, netbal en sokker aan. Alles gebeur binne-in die arena, so reën of wind is nie meer ‘n probleem nie.Danica verduidelik: “Ons is dromers en baanbrekers. Dis ‘n droom wat waar geword het, want Potch het nog nooit so ‘n arena gehad nie.” Hoe werk die ligas? Die somerliga vir aksiekrieket en netbal loop oor 12 weke van Maandae tot Donderdae. Elke aand is daar tussen een en drie krieketwedstryde en een of twee netbalwedstryde. Vrydagaande is gereserveer vir sosiale sokker. Toekomstige drome 🌍 Die arena het groot planne – hulle droom van drie bane sodat hulle eendag selfs ‘n nasionale toernooi kan aanbied. Maar soos Danica sê: “Vir nou fokus ons op wat ons het en maak seker dit werk reg.”Die span is klein maar effektief. Van admin tot finansies tot sportkoordineer – almal vat hande om die arena te laat werk. Veiligheid en gemak Die baan is ontwerp met veiligheid in gedagte – met sagte paalbeskerming en standaard-nette. Mediese hulp is op standby indien nodig.“Ons bid elke aand daar gebeur niks sleg nie,” sê Danica eerlik. Tot dusver was daar nog geen ernstige beserings nie. Waarheen van hier?
